HOUSE CLEANING TIPS - ROTATE WHAT YOU DO TO KEEP ON TRACK of ALL THE HOUSE CLEANING NEEDED on a REGULAR BASIS!
THE DIRTIEST PLACES IN YOUR KITCHEN THAT MIGHT SURPRISE YOU:
Refrigerator: Food bacteria gets all over your fridge doors and shelves. Wipe with disinfectant.
Countertop Appliances: Again bacteria and germs will get inside of your blender and coffeemaker. To clean rinse with water and white vinegar.
Countertops: All your bags spread germs on your countertop when you leave them there. A quick wipe w/ disinfectant or just plain soap & water would not hurt.
Sink: Your dirty dishes are put in there. Flush sink every 1-2 weeks.
Cooking Utensils: Clean piece by piece, highest chance in kitchen of having E. Coli.
Reusable Containers: Germs stay in old food. Clean containers as soon as your done with them and wash shopping bags weekly.
Knife Block: High chance of having mold. Clean every slot with soap and water.
Ceiling Fans: Often collects dust, should be cleaned every other month.
Baseboards: Collects dirt and other gunk that trickles down from the walls. First dust quickly then sponge clean them.
Shower Heads: Wipe every 1-2 weeks. Hard clean twice a year.
Washer and Dryer: Can easily be filled with mold and lint. For Washer: cycle with bleach and let it air dry; for dryer: make sure you remove lint from vent from machine to wall 2x/year.
